Canoeing and paddleboarding are must-do activities during your holiday in Sommières! Camping Le Garanel enjoys a prime location for discovering these outdoor activities. The Vidourle, a river flowing from the Cévennes and forming part of the border between the Gard and Hérault departments, runs less than 200 metres from the campsite.

From Quissac to Sommières, the Vidourle stretches over 95 km. A variety of landscapes unfold along the way, making every trip a pleasure. In one of these charming, peaceful valleys, our partner Kayak Tribu welcomes you from April to October.
A wide range of routes and activities is available for all ages. Canoe treasure hunts, kayaking, giant paddleboards, Via Ferrata, and, since 2023, even axe throwing in the heart of nature—there is something for everyone!
