General Terms and Conditions of Sale for Camping le Garanel
Please read the following general terms and conditions carefully. Booking a stay implies full acceptance of these conditions and the internal regulations displayed at the reception.
Booking Conditions
The rental is personal; subletting or transferring the pitch to a third party is prohibited. The reservation becomes effective only with the campsite’s agreement, upon receipt of the deposit and either the duly completed and signed reservation contract, or acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale. Camping Le Garanel offers family-oriented stays, in the traditional sense, and accommodations are specifically designed for this purpose. Camping Le Garanel reserves the right to refuse any reservation that goes against this principle or attempts to circumvent it.
Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Campsite Pitch
The basic package includes the pitch for a tent, caravan, and car or motorhome for 1 or 2 people, access to sanitary facilities, reception infrastructure, and free entertainment. Additional options are available at reception. Any unbooked and used extras, or undeclared additional persons or animals, will be charged from the day of arrival.
For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to use the electrical hook-ups to charge an electric vehicle. Dedicated charging stations are installed 300 meters from the campsite.
Accommodation
Rental accommodations are fully equipped: furniture, dishes, pillows, and duvets. The basic package accommodates 2 to 6 people, depending on the type of rental. As stated in our brochure and on the website, each accommodation or camping pitch is designed for a specific number of people. For safety and insurance reasons, the maximum number of occupants cannot be exceeded. Furthermore,
a baby is considered a full person. Camping Le Garanel reserves the right to refuse access to the campsite for groups or families arriving with a number of participants exceeding the capacity of the rented accommodation.
Please remember to bring your sheets, fitted sheets, and pillowcases. Animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc.) are strictly forbidden in rental accommodations, as well as
outside and in cars. We reserve the right to refuse access to the accommodation for families arriving with an animal.
For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden to use the electrical hook-ups to charge an electric vehicle.
Group Bookings
Any reservation of more than 2 accommodations by the same individual, or by different individuals who know each other and are traveling together for the same reasons on the same dates, is considered a group. Our accommodations are exclusively for individual guests. For any group booking request, you must contact us by phone, email, or via our Contact Us section. We reserve the right to review the booking request
before accepting or refusing it.
RATES AND TOURIST TAX
- The prices indicated are valid for the 2024 season. They are per night and are in euros, including 10% VAT. Any subsequent change in the applicable VAT rate occurring between the time the rates were determined and the billing of the stay will result in a corresponding change in the total price, which the client accepts without reservation.
- The tourist tax is €0.22 per person per day for those aged 18 and over. Any subsequent change in the applicable tourist tax occurring between the time the rates were determined and the billing of the stay will result in a corresponding change in the price of the stay, which the client accepts without reservation.
ECO CONTRIBUTION
Our operations are subject to taxes for the extraction of natural resources (clean water) and waste treatment (wastewater, household waste).
This is a budgetary impact serving as compensation and awareness, amounting to €0.55 per person per day.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS
For reservations made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a deposit of 30% of the total price of the reserved services, plus a €10 administration fee for accommodations or €3 for bare pitches, must be paid upon booking. The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before arrival.
For reservations made less than 30 days before the start of the stay, the entire amount must be paid on the day of booking.
Payment methods: Credit Card, Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard, bank checks in euros (payable in France), holiday vouchers, bank transfers.
Should full payment not be received 30 days before your arrival, Camping Le Garanel reserves the right to consider the reservation cancelled. Payments made will not be refunded.
NO RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
In accordance with Article L121-19 of the Consumer Code, Camping Le Garanel informs its clients that the sale of accommodation services provided on a specific date, or according to a specific periodicity, is not subject to the provisions relating to the 14-day withdrawal period.
STAY
Arrival and departure on the day of your choice, except in July-August. The minimum mandatory stay duration varies depending on the period and type of accommodation; details are available in our brochure and on our website.
- Arrival
Campsite pitch: arrival from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Connection to electrical hook-ups must be made using cables and plugs compliant with current legislation. Please bring a 30-meter cable and a European adapter. The campsite is unable to provide the equipment mentioned above.
Clients using a caravan storage provider must inform reception and ensure the provider has insurance. In the event of damage or deterioration caused by a storage provider within the campsite, repairs and restoration will be at the client’s expense if the provider is not insured. They are also required to arrange with the provider for arrival to be from 3:00 PM. Any arrival before this time will be charged an additional day at the current nightly rate.
For all accommodations: arrival from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Upon key collection, deposits will be required. €350 for
the accommodation and €50 for cleaning.
The “PARKING” space for the accommodation is designed for a single vehicle; any other vehicle must park outside the campsite.
Any late arrival must be reported before 6:00 PM so that the campsite can make arrangements; this is subject to acceptance. If you wish to arrive in the morning, you will need to book the previous night. Any delay in the arrival time must be reported to ensure your accommodation is held. The management reserves the right to reallocate the reserved pitch if there is no communication within 24 hours after the scheduled arrival date. Payments made will not be refunded.
Any change in the number of people that may result in a variation of the fee (increase or decrease) must be reported upon arrival (e.g., tourist tax, additional person beyond the accommodation’s capacity). In the event of an inaccurate declaration by the client, this contract will be automatically terminated, and any sums paid will be retained by the lessor.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse access to individuals arriving with a number of participants exceeding the proposed package or the capacity of the rented accommodation, or if the names do not match upon arrival.
- During your stay
It is the camper’s responsibility to ensure: the camper is responsible for supervising their personal belongings (bicycles, etc.). The campsite disclaims all responsibility in the event of an incident falling under the camper’s civil liability.
All clients must comply with the internal regulations. Each named tenant is responsible for any disturbances and nuisances caused by individuals staying with them or visiting them.
- Visitors
For safety reasons, visitors must register upon arrival at reception, presenting “identification”, before visiting a resident, at which point a bracelet will be issued to them. Access to the pool is strictly forbidden for all visitors. The management reserves the right to prohibit access to the campsite for unregistered individuals.
Extras: any undeclared extra (additional person, dog, etc.) discovered during a check during the stay will be charged to the client from their arrival date.
- Departure
Rental accommodations: On the departure day indicated in your contract, the rental accommodation must be vacated before 10:00 AM, by appointment made at reception the day before. The accommodation must be returned in perfectly clean condition, and the inventory may be checked; any broken or damaged item will be at your expense, as will the restoration of the premises if necessary.
The deposit will be returned to you at the end of your stay, after deduction of any retained indemnities, based on supporting invoices, for any damage noted during the exit inventory. The retention of the deposit does not preclude additional compensation if the costs exceed the deposit amount.
If the accommodation has not been cleaned before your departure, a minimum cleaning fee of €50 will be charged.
For any departure after 12:00 PM, an additional day may be charged at the current nightly rate.
Pitch: On the day of departure, the pitch must be vacated before 11:00 AM, returned in good condition, without rubbish or personal belongings. For any departure after 12:00 PM, an additional day may be charged at the current nightly rate.
Clients using a caravan storage provider must inform reception and provide the provider’s contact details. It is the client’s responsibility to arrange with the provider for the pitch to be vacated by 11:00 AM; for any delay, an additional day at the current nightly rate may be charged.
DEPOSITS
For accommodations, a €350 deposit is required upon arrival to cover any potential damage to the accommodation, as well as an additional €50 deposit to cover any “cleaning fees at the end of the rental; these are returned on the day of departure after the” inventory check. Under no circumstances will the accommodation key be issued without the deposits being provided. For campsite pitches, a
deposit will be required if equipment is rented.
PETS
Pets are accepted on campsite pitches only with prior management approval and subject to a fee payable upon reservation, with the exception of Category 1 and 2 dogs. They must be kept on a leash at all times. They must not disturb the peace and safety of residents and must adhere to basic hygiene rules. They are forbidden near swimming pools and in buildings. The vaccination record for dogs and cats must be up to date.
CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATIONS
- Modification of your booking
Clients may request a modification to their stay (campsite, date, and/or type of accommodation) by written request to the campsite (mail or email), subject to availability and feasibility. No postponement to the following season will be accepted. Clients are advised that if a stay is modified, they will not be able to benefit from promotions introduced after their initial booking, as the date of the first reservation will prevail. Failing modification, the client must complete their stay under the conditions
of the initial booking or cancel it according to the applicable cancellation conditions.
- Any request to extend the duration of your stay will be processed according to availability and current rates.
- Any request to shorten the duration of your stay is considered a partial cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation terms for interrupted stays.
In the absence of a message from you indicating a postponement of your arrival date, the accommodation may be made available for sale again 24 hours after the arrival date mentioned in the contract, and you will consequently forfeit your reservation.
- Unused Services
Any interrupted or shortened stay (late arrival, early departure) due to your actions will not be eligible for a refund, regardless of the reason given.
- Cancellation by Camping Le Garanel
In the event of cancellation by Camping Le Garanel, except in cases of force majeure, the stay will be fully refunded. However, this cancellation will not give rise to the payment of damages.
- Cancellation by the Camper
Any reservation cancellation must be made in writing (registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt) to Camping Le Garanel.
If the cancellation occurs:
. More than 30 days before the start date of the stay: the deposit will be retained as compensation.
- Less than 30 days before the start date of the stay: 100% of the stay amount will be required, and no refund will be granted.
CANCELLATION INSURANCE
Cancellation insurance can only be purchased at the time of the initial booking request. The client agrees to review the general insurance conditions offered during their initial booking. The general cancellation insurance conditions are available at any time on our website.
