Canoeing and paddleboarding are must-do activities for your holidays in Sommières! Camping le Garanel is ideally located for you to try these activities. Indeed, the Vidourle, a river from the Cévennes straddling the Gard and Hérault departments, flows less than 200 meters from the campsite.

Looking for adventure and nature? You can’t miss a canoe or paddleboarding trip down the Vidourle, starting from Saint-Sériès or Sommières.

From Quissac to Sommières, the Vidourle stretches for 95 km. You’ll encounter varied landscapes for your greatest enjoyment. It is in one of these small valleys with an intimate and enchanting atmosphere that our partner, Kayak Tribu, will welcome you from April to October.

There are many routes and activities to delight young and old alike. Canoe treasure hunts, kayaking, giant paddleboards, Via Ferrata, and even, since 2023, outdoor axe throwing – there’s something for everyone!
