Greenway

Starting from Sommières, just 5 minutes from the campsite, and heading towards Caveirac, you will pass through a variety of landscapes, including orchards, olive groves, vineyards and meadows, as well as hills covered with holm oaks, pine forests and dense Mediterranean scrubland (garrigue). Along the way, you may spot traditional manades (bull-breeding farms) and, just before reaching Sommières, enjoy a breathtaking view of Pic Saint-Loup. From the Greenway, you can easily reach several villages and tourist attractions in the Pays de Sommières. The route can be started from Sommières or Calvisson.

Unlike a cycle path, which is reserved exclusively for cyclists, a Greenway is designed for all non-motorised users, including cyclists, pedestrians, roller skaters and, in some cases, horse riders. The Vaunage Greenway follows the route of a former railway line. Perfect for beginners, families or anyone looking for a relaxing outing, this unexpected route promises an enjoyable adventure!

Two cycling discovery loops, connected to the Greenway and shared by cyclists and cars, allow you to extend your adventure: the Le Vidourle Loop, starting from Sommières (34 km), and the Les Olivettes Loop, starting from Calvisson (21 km).
